Hey welcome back Lesson three You are halfway through the course And I gotta say I

wanna applaud you give you a round of applause as we saw only 3 to 6% of people ever finished

an online course The fact that you are halfway through it means you are at the top

of the hill Don't give up Now go down the other side because you are

halfway to where you need to be to understand how to do seo on your website or

for a client's website Today we're gonna be talking about something super important because it

doesn't matter what keywords you have if you are missing intent So today is all about owning intent and

understanding how to master it So we've discovered the power of seo we understand how to break the algorithm

and find keywords that people want to read about or want to see content about Today We're going to

understand how you can master search intent It doesn't matter what keywords you choose if you're not

matching search and Google is not going to ever show your information to people that are searching for it because

Google more or less knows what people are searching for And it's A I algorithm is smart enough to figure

out that what you're offering doesn't match that intent So I don't want that to be you I want when

you spend hours producing a P A piece of content because on average it takes people about

four or five hours to create one piece of content I don't want that content to never

get found So let's go ahead and look at what search intent is on a high level search intent

Pretty much just means does what I'm writing match what people are looking for And if it is you

have a winning formula for people to find you online and want to work with

you There are three main types of intent that exist When we talk about keywords you have keywords that people

type in to learn something keywords that people type to buy something and you have keywords that

people type in to understand something a little better We can further date break these

down a bit more So informational keywords that is generally indicative with the words how or why or what or

tutorial An example of this is how to fix a flat bike tire These people want

to know the answer to something this is called informational intent and it means people

are looking for information The next type of keyword we have is commercial intent People want to investigate what to

do So they're gonna look for words like best review compare sites product or service

name So an example of this is best inner tubes for road bikes These people are looking to

purchase something but they're not quite there yet They want to understand different brands different offerings

and find the one that is best for them The next type of keyword we have is transactional

And again I want to just go back a little bit because informational really falls under that

learn commercial that falls under the understand transactional Navigational These are by keywords So transactional means people

want to complete an action You can find the keywords buy cheap for sale online download sign

up register quote Remember how I told you that Google really looks for search phrases

Well imagine it You put buy Nike running shoes you know that's very specific You

don't wanna buy any running shoes you wanna buy Nike running shoes So Google will then group

these together into a search phrase An example of this is buy tire tubes online

This person might be presented with many different types of tire tubes for many different brands But the goal

is the same They want to buy one or you have navigational That means you want to

buy from a very specific company So it could be any site name plus by tire tubes online

So an example here could be buy parts.com buy tire tubes online We're matching those 22 intents

together We're giving somebody transactional and navigational But what if you don't want to buy tire tubes

and you only want to look at what's being offered by one specific brand Well at that point you would

just type in that specific brand on Google and it would load up that that's navigational So as you can

see here there's the search intent is really important because if somebody is looking to buy something you don't want

to be writing how to do this you want to be selling them something This is

how you pick the low hanging fruit that people are looking for to start producing

content about it When we do this Let's take a look at some examples because

I learn best with examples What do you think the search intent for this is learn by or understand this

is actually an article from Healthline and it says why do my farts smell so bad smelly

farts explained Well as you can see here in the beginning of this keyword we see why this

means that it's informational If you go back here why is informational Somebody wants to know the

exact reasons that their farts stink This is going to go through and walk us through the process of how

our body makes It's gonna talk about why they smell what causes some of them

to be nastier than others The ones that you know people let out on the plane because

there's so many people and you just want to die That is what these people are looking

for So we know that because it says why And then it also has the word explained Here's

another example What do you think this one is learn buy understand this one is understand this is not

transactional because they are not typing in a specific keyword But what they have typed

in here is best coffee machines So top five coffee for ultimate Java Joy people want to see the different

brands So we have one from Nespresso If you go down this you know page you're gonna

see one from a different brand It's gonna talk about the good and the bad for all of these

different coffee machines And it's also gonna give you the option to make a purchase if you would want

to This is a special type of Seo article called a Listicle And if you see people online

you might have them reach out to you asking for Listicles Basically what that means is

they're working in an affiliate marketing and they want to be able to present as many options

to people as possible They're gonna be affiliates for all of them but they're also gonna

tell people the pros and cons and if you ever read an article like this you'll notice that the cons

are very small they're not very big cons uh because the ultimate goal here is still to

make a sell but we're doing it as we're informing people about the different types of things that exist for

their specific search phrase So keep that in mind what do you think this one could be Well this

one says by men shoes again you know this is transactional Somebody wants to make to purchase I didn't

specifically type in a brand name here but I could type in buy men's Nike shoes and it's gonna bring

up you know specific examples for Nikes companies that sell Nikes And as you can see

here most of these are ads this is a buy keyword a transactional intent keyword You never want to create

informational content for transactional keywords or via versa You really wanna keep these very defined

very clear and separate them into their respective categories If you do that you master intent you give

people what they want and in turn you're gonna start to receive traffic from Google You're gonna start to

receive information uh about people wanting to work with you and I promise you search intent is super

powerful So that's it for today What I want you to do in the workbook is I want you

to go through take all the keywords that we have made from the C keywords You now

have your long tail keywords take those and put them either into transactional informational You're gonna separate

your keywords and you're gonna categorize them by intent And the reason we're doing this is

because the next lesson is all about on page seo and incorporating all of these keywords If you do not

understand the search intent there's no way for you to make sure all the content that you're producing is

going to match that search intent So go complete the work for book for today Think again

about if you were searching for this specific term what would you be wanting to

do Would you be wanting to purchase something or would you be looking for information Keep that

in mind And in the Facebook group if you have any questions make sure to

let us know use the hashtag question and keep your momentum You are halfway through

this course There's only two more lessons Number four is all about on page Number five a little bit more

about on page I'm separating this into two separate sections mainly because there are two very important parts

to on page seo and then you have your big surprise coming up So that's

it for today guys Let me know in the Facebook group how you're getting along I'd love

to hear from you and I'll see you in lesson four Bye bye
