Acts Chapter 25
Paul here is in Ephesus, and he asks some disciples if they received the Holy Spirit. The answered they never heard of this, so Paul lays hands on them and they receive the Holy Spirit. Some Jewish exorcists attempted to use Jesus' name to cast out demons. However, a demon said they heard of Paul and Jesus, but not them. They were then pounced on them and injured them. Then a riot occurred on Ephesus. They held back Paul from going to them, but several of hi friends did go. But when the croud brought them before the town clerk, but since they did not do anything illegal, he let them go.
Paul now presents his case before King Agrippa. But what he states has more to do with the gospel and its importance rather than his own case. He speaks of his conversion to Christianity, especially regarding the appearance of Jesus. After Paul is finished, Agrippa states he sees no crime regarding Paul, but because Paul appealed to Caesar, he could not free him, and therefore sent him to Rome.
Paul's second missionary journey is ending. He arrives in Corinth and meets Aquila and his wife Priscilla who become his fellow workers. After teaching in the synagogue, the Jews opposed him, so he goes out to the Gentiles. Priscilla and Aquila meet a Jew named Apollos whom they then taught him a more accurate picture of who Jesus was, and then he went on and helped all who believed in Jesus Christ and the salvation that comes from grace.
