Hi, Mark Atkinson here from MA Technical Copywriting. Today I’d like to speak a bit about how powerful inbound marketing can be for any business.

Inbound marketing involves creating educational, informative content to position your business as an industry expert and engage your target audience so you stay at the ‘top of mind’. When they need your service, your business will be the first they contact.

Examples are industry reports, market studies – based on a customer survey for example – or e-books.

This is compared to outbound marketing, such as advertising, trade shows, telemarketing or cold calling, which are far less targeted and more costly with lower returns on investment. With inbound marketing, you are increasing your online presence and helping prospective clients to find you for a product or service they are genuinely looking for.

The beauty of such content is that it can also be repurposed into other forms – taking different aspects of a market study to produce a series of website blogs, LinkedIn articles or other forms of social media for example. Plus, by posting regular, original content on your website, you are also increasing your rankings, creating leads and ultimately generating sales.
