It Was Fifty Years Ago Today: Beatles Rubber Soul and Revolver March 2022

My latest podcast, focused on the Beatles and Rock Music, was an exciting preview of the upcoming Abbey Road on the River festival! 🎸
We celebrated the legacy of the Beatles and their influence on iconic artists while promoting the event, which brings together fans and tribute performers from all over the world.
During the episode, we featured classic Beatles tracks, as well as music from artists like Billy J. Kramer, Ides of March, and Jefferson Starship, and we also played a couple of Beatles songs from The Beatles LOVE album.
A huge thank you to our incredible guests who shared their stories and experiences:
- Frank Muratore from Hard Days Night talked about his moments performing at Abbey Road on the River, keeping the Beatles’ memories alive, and performing with Billy J. Kramer. Frank also discussed his experiences meeting other figures connected to the Beatles and his visits to Liverpool.
- Fernando Duarte shared his decade-long journey with Abbey Road on the River, his tribute performances with Some Other Guy and with Gavin Pring on a George Harrison tribute, and his unforgettable interview with Ringo Starr. Fernando also discussed his performances in Liverpool and his tributes to John Lennon.
- Paulie Felice spoke about his incredible experiences with Beatles and classic rock, as well as his work with Jim Peterik of Ides of March and Jefferson Starship.
This special was packed with Beatles music, stories from the festival, and insights into the tribute world.

Show Topic: The Mellow Side of Soft Rock 🎶
In the last episode of my podcast aired on Thursday, April 17th, 2025, we slowed things down for a warm and nostalgic journey into the world of Soft Rock, a genre that shaped the airwaves in the late '60s and soared through the '70s.
Soft Rock blends folk storytelling and the smooth instrumentation of pop and rock, delivering soothing harmonies, introspective lyrics, and mellow vibes.
Born in both the U.S. and the UK, this sound became the backdrop for romantic ballads, emotional reflections, and easy-listening classics that are still beloved today.
This episode features timeless tracks by legendary soft rock and mellow pop artists, including:
America, Bread, Chicago, Air Supply, The Doobie Brothers, Seals and Crofts, The Carpenters, Chad and Jeremy, The Association, Ambrosia, Lobo, John Denver, Jim Croce, Harry Chapin, England Dan & John Ford Coley, The Hollies, Kansas, Harry Nilsson, Poco, Gerry Rafferty, Gordon Lightfoot, Boz Scaggs, Supertramp, James Taylor, REO Speedwagon, and more.
Whether you’re looking to relax or reminisce, this is the perfect episode to ease into the weekend with the mellow melodies of soft rock, or any other time of the week.
📆 This is one you won’t want to miss. Tune in as soon as the recording goes live and enjoy the smooth sounds that defined a generation. 🎧
