All right So welcome back You've gone through lesson one you've got your ideas you've

set out your goal you set up your smart goal you understand what exactly you're working for

You have your topic that you're gonna be speaking about And a list of ideas that you can

use to start to develop your on page Seo today we're going to jump in to something that is

super crucial and that is seo keyword research How do you start to come up with

these different keywords And how do you know what to do first What to do

after that So let's go ahead and jump into it today We're gonna be talking about breaking

the algorithm with search phrases You heard that right Not keywords but search phrases And I

want you to pay attention to the additional resource that I have added into the lesson workbook for

you today because it's gonna walk you through and help you better understand why Google Crawlers work

the way they do and what search engines actually do Whenever you produce content you can understand why

keywords are not really so important but search phrases are a little bit more we got a couple more

lessons after this but you're starting to get an idea of what you need to do Keep your head

up keep working towards your goal that you set up and that starts with how to find keywords So

how do you find keywords You don't just think here's what I want You don't just look online and

see what other people are doing because what somebody else is doing might not work for

you and your audience and your audience is going to be special They're gonna be people that are like

you people that are similar to you and you wanna make sure that you are talking to

them in the way that is best for them So how do you find keywords

Well there are different types of keywords Let's dissect what a keyword is So you understand the three parts

So three kinds of keywords And the first one is called a seed keyword This is really short It usually

has one word and an example of key C word could be seo that is not

really descriptive It's just a general overarching topic not the best when somebody is looking

to try to understand what Seo is or how to employ it for their website or for their

business So then we move into something called short tell keywords short tell keywords are usually two or three keywords

that are stuck together into a search phrase These are called short tell keywords because they're short they're not

very long then we have something called long tail keywords and long tail keywords are very long 3

to 5 words And whenever you start producing seo content you really want to try to focus

in the beginning At least on these long tail keywords you're gonna get less traffic

but the traffic that you do get is going to be higher intent they're gonna

be more interested in what you're writing about or what you're trying to sell long tail

keywords They are a winner winner chicken dinner We you are just starting out How

do we take a seed keyword which is essentially one word and expand it into a

short tell or a long tell keyword You do this with something I like to call seed

expanders and I don't want you to overthink this Just imagine you're searching for resources about a topic

and think about what you would like to see We got a taste of this

in lesson one So if you're unfamiliar with how we started to do this go back

and check lesson one again Uh It's available for replay here is essentially how you use a keyword expander

So I want you to look here in the pink box I have seo that's a seed

keyword If I type that in I'm not gonna be able to rank for that on Google If

you type that in you're not gonna be able to rank for that on Google These seed keywords

are pretty much reserved for multimillion dollar corporations that have millions of dollars and thousands of it to be spent

on people helping them every single day If you're a small business or new entrepreneur you likely don't

have those sorts funds So we have to use something called keyword expanders Keyword expanders are all

the different ways people could be talking about this when they search for that keyword So as you

can see here I have how to why which and what and we'll see later how these are

gonna help you to understand how to produce your content But before you start producing the

content you first have to have your goal and then you have to have the keywords

you're going to write about Once we have these keyword expanders we're gonna let's start to turn them into phrases

people look for So as you can see here we take a short C keyword and

we start to turn it into a long tail keyword So if you look at which for

seo I have which Seo research tool is best which seo keywords should I choose Which Seo strategy

gets the fastest results And I'm actually going to tell you at the end of this course which SEO keywords

you should choose and what you should do whenever you're starting to develop this entire plan So

stay tuned into that because I promise you're gonna love it Let's take a look

at this A little closer long toe keywords generally have lower search volume but higher search intent Imagine it if

you're looking for Nike shoes and you type that in well you're really only looking for one thing

but if you type in the best Nike running shoes for basketball players you are probably a

basketball player and you're probably looking to purchase running shoes So keep that in mind you're gonna have

lower search volume but you're gonna have higher intent And if you're trying to make sales that's

probably going to be your best bet Short tell keywords have tons of traffic but the intent

is really low People don't really know what they're looking for yet So you kind of need to guide

them and that's how you're choosing these seo keywords seed keywords again let's reiterate super difficult to rank for

You should not ever choose these I cannot think of any business that probably should choose

these The last thing you wanna do after you have gone through and used all your keyword

expanders and you've already built out your long tail phrases is you can use a tool

like Google keyword planner or you can use a service like spy fu to understand how these keywords

are performing and how many people are looking for them It's a good indication like a

forecast if you will of what's to come if you write and include these keywords on your

website or on your web pages So how do you use Google keyword planner It's super simple Go to App

dot google.com Create an account if you don't already have one Once you're logged in

click the wrench in the upper right hand corner and then under planning you'll see

something called keyword planner Discover new keywords is what you should click on and you

can use this to enter a URL and find what keywords they're using Or if you are

trying to use these long tail keywords that you have created you just wanna click get

search volume and forecasts You want to use this tool It's gonna tell you how many keywords are ranking

how many people are searching for them And it's also going to let you know if it's a good

choice or not a good choice for your brand for your industry You want to choose keywords that have

high search volume and low competition If there is high competition it means you're gonna have to spend

a lot of time and a lot of effort starting to rank for those keywords So make sure that

you're focusing on something with low competition and high keyword search volume This is my preferred tool This

is called spy fu and it's not a free tool but it's pretty cheap I think it's

like 39 bucks a month and it's a great deal So create account click on seo research

enter a keyword and analyze it the reason I like this keyword tool is because they pull the

information from Google They have their own little spiders that find out exactly what is

on the search engine results page And as you can see here it gives you a lot

of detailed information So for the keyword seo we can see that it roughly has 100 and 65,000

searches every single month 66,000 of them have a click What you wanna do here is find something

that has a high click ratio 66,000 40% are only only 40% of people are clicking on it Not

really a good choice but the reason that this is definitely not a good choice is because of the

difficulty 62% difficulty is not a keyword that you wanna target as a new business owner

or a small business because it indicates you're gonna have to spend a lot of money on back links

Uh You know a bunch of time and effort to get your article with this to rank

That's it for today guys Uh So go ahead go complete the workbook for lesson number three Think about

when you have your topic what you would search for again I encourage you in the group Ask questions

Don't give up keep focusing and keep working towards your goal I've set this up

to where if you work work and then you put in the effort and put

in the time at the end of this course it is impossible for you not

to have content that's gonna rank on Google So we understand today how to come

up with an idea how to start creating long tail keywords And we also learn how to check

them for relevance and make sure they are good choices I'll see you guys in the next

lesson and in the Facebook group let me know how you guys are getting along I'd love

to hear from you That's it for today and I'll see you next time Bye bye
