teach on the truth about God debunking the lies of the devil and revealing the truth about God

found in the word listen and be blessed welcome to the Believers Bible assembly this is the day that

the Lord has made and we're gonna rejoice and be glad in it open your Bibles

to Titus Chapter 2 Verse 1 as we continue our study this morning about the truth about God Titus Chapter

that are consistent with sound Doctrine and today we're going to continue our teaching series about the truth about

God we need to know the truth about God you know worship Porsche this morning

of the assembly meeting we sing a song about the goodness of God the goodness of God and see our

knowledge of God has to go beyond singing has we go Ian a song how can you sing about a

God that you don't know and the truth about God has been revealed in his word but

there's so many lies out here about God that's being spread intentionally to sever your relationship

with God by paying a false picture about who God is so what we've been doing over

these last week's we've been to bunking lies about God we do bump three lives

last week and this week we're going to debunk some more lines about God so we can have a true

understanding of the god of the Bible so we can be in relationship with him say how can you

be in relationship with a guy that you don't know how can you be in a relationship with a guy

that you don't understand how can you be in a true relationship with a guy

if you think he's one thing and and in reality he's something else so we're going to

continue today to debunk these lies about God by contrasting the lies with the truth that's found in the

word so let's get started this morning we're going to talk about more lies about God so

we're up to number 7 so the 7th light we're going to talk about is that God only loves and

favors certain people he only loves and favors certain people some people believe that they're too sinful to broken or

rejected to receive God's love the two Central no way in the world guy can love me based

on what I've done see now we all know that's a trick of the devil

he comes to steal kill and destroy and he uses lies thoughts and ideas so somehow

another line has that this person has believed the lie that they're too sinful too broken to reject it to

receive God's love all the people think that God only save some for salvation and reject others now this

is a lies has been perpetrated through religious institutions that God Saves some and rejects others

but what does the Bible say again y'all we always got to go back to the word

of God what does the word of God say the truth is God shows no partiality God

shows no favoritism God is no respecter of persons that's the truth of the word one person is not more

important or special than another there's no big means and little use because God shows

no partiality God shows no favoritism he is not a respecter of persons God's invitation of love and salvation

is open to all people so let's look at the scripture this morning Romans chapter

let me take you back into give you some historical context at this time the Jewish

people saw themselves as having a special status before God due to their Covenant relationship that God

made with them God called Israel the apple of his eye so in their mind they had

a special status before God but Paul in this verse is making it clear that God's love God's salvation

is not based on ethnicity or social status there is no black or white Christians in the

body of Christ we've talked about that before that's the vision in Christ We Are

One so Paul's is making it clear that God's salvation God's love is not based on your

ethnicity or your social status he's saying that God accepts those from every nation from every ethnicity

from every background who fears him who reverence him who honors him who obeys him and does what

is right that's the qualification God is not a respecter of person he does not show any favoritism toward a

certain people group or individual Galatians 3:28 says there is now no distinction in regard to

Salvation neither for the Jew north of the Greek slave nor free male or female for

you are all one in Christ one in Christ God does not show any favoritism there's one

standard for all say God does not like man especially in this day and time

that has special conditions special rules four different people groups or status so if you belong to

this people group and you have the status that's one standard but if you don't belong to

this people group or have this status there's another standard no no that's not how God operates

God does not show any favoritism there's one standard for all there's only one way

to the father and that's through Jesus Christ there's one standard for all so if someone

tells you that there's a different way to Christ different way to God that's a lie because

God has one standard for all God does not show any favoritism he wouldn't be

God if he had one standard for one group in a another standard for another group know he

has one standard and that's the standard set forth in his word Jesus Christ is the way

that's why and he's the only way that's why the power of the Gospel message for salvation

needs to be shared with all people because it's the power of the Gospel that's going to create this one

standard for all Romans 1:16 says Paul says for I am not ashamed of the gospel

because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes first to

the Jew and also to the Greek so what's the standard that everyone has to meet in order

to receive salvation they have to believe believe what in the finished work of Jesus Christ

on the cross that's the power of the Gospel to save and is one standard and applies to all

people that's why the Bible says that salvation is by grace not of Works lest anyone should boast and

I'm glad guys set it up that way because if salvation was based on what I've done or

what you've done or what somebody else has done those are three different standards but there's

one standard and that's the standard that God laid out he is the one that

said the only way to me is through my son Jesus Christ because he paid the price he paid our

sin debt so he is the only way to the father one standard for all Romans 10:13 says

everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved everyone don't care if you're black

white rich poor straight gay everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved everyone who

calls on the Lord in faith one who believes they calling him the Lord they

will be safe that's the standard one standard for all John 6:37 says whoever comes to me I

will never cast out that's the one standard for all God does not make an

exception for one group and making another exception for the for another group see he's showing no favoritism no

partiality no respect of persons one standing for all Romans chapter 10 verse 12 says the Lord is

rich in Mercy to all who call on him so what we're seeing here is guys love that's

extended to everyone regardless of your ethnicity regardless of your Social Status regardless of your background all who

believes and calls on him will be saved because God is not a respecter of

persons so lie number 7 God only loves and favor certain people we just did the monk that lie we

just a monk that lie because God is not a respecter of persons God does not have any

favorites there's one standard for all the next life God is a non realistic concept now if you remember

when we first started this teaching we talked about this different views out there about God and I go

into much detail on this in a doctrinal class about God but this is a atheistic agnostic whew say

these are people who have a problem grasping God the reality of God the atheist don't believe

there's a God at all the agnostic believe does God but he doesn't function the way the Bible says he

function and they believe that God is a non realistic concept now this view holds that God

does not exist as an independent objective physical or spiritual Divine Supreme Being in essence there's no such thing

as God or if there is a God he doesn't it 86 as an independent objective physical or spiritual Divine

Supreme Being instead they believe that God is an unrealistic human concept a symbol or just a

moral religious View that's what they believe about God he's not real he's a myth he's

a human concept he's a symbol he's just a more religious View and other people they have reduced

God to an impersonal Force rather than a living being and we talked about that in a

previous teaching that God is distant from you all right he just created you he put you down here on

the earth defend for yourself but what does the Bible say what is the truth about God the truth

is God is the living creator God is personal God is Sovereign God is Holy

and God is alive let's go to the beginning Genesis 1:1 and it says in the

beginning God Elohim created the heavens and the Earth in the beginning God Elohim created by

forming from nothing the heavens and the Earth God is the creator he's the creator of all things

everything that exists is because God created it he created the heavens and the Earth in six days he

said it was good then he created man and he said it was very good

God is the creator of all things he created the world in the universe by forming something out of nothing

everything that is is because God created it that way now man has come in and have mutated it

and trying to change it into something else but we're talking about God the living creator

he's the one that created everything and said it was good because of sin and

man's quote knowledge of things things have gone from good to bad but that's not the will of

God when he created everything in beginning he created it and said it was good so God is the

creator of all things Isaiah 43:10 says before me no God little G was formed nor will there

be one after me so Isaiah 43:10 acknowledges God as the one and only God there's many Little G's that

have been created but there's only one true God of the Bible he is the creator he's

personal he's Sovereign and he's holy and he's alive and there will be no God after

me so these polytheists they believed in many gods little geez and even some false religion teaches that you

and I are little geez we are guys God is the creator we are his creation The Creation

is not equal or will never ever be equal to the create tour God said before me no

God was formed and there will be none after me because he's the one true God so

he is real he's evidence his realness through his creation he created his realness through

his personal relationships with us he created his will realness because he Sovereign over all things he's all-powerful he's

everywhere present he's all knowing he's holy and he is alive 1st Timothy 4:10 says that

is why we labor and strive because we have put our hope in the Living God

who was the savior of all people and especially those of those who believe we

serve a living God all other religions they surveyed dead God Muhammad is dead Buddha is dead Harry

Krishna is dead all of these gods that these religions worship their dead but you and I the reason why

we labor the reason why we strive is because we have put our hope in the

Living God of the Bible who is the savior of all people and especially of those who

believe we don't serve a dead God we don't serve our impersonal God we don't serve a God that's

distant we serve a living God and God is living and his word is living see that's

why we can rely on his word that's why we can depend on this word Hebrews

a living God whose Word is Alive and is full of power that's why we can put our faith

in the word that's why we can rely on the word that's why we can depend on

God's word because it's alive and God the one true God God the Creator the Living

God has made his presence known John 4:24 says God is Spirit you can't see Spirit you can't

touch Spirit you can't feel spirit so that's a different teaching at a different time

see but God the spirit he's invisible you can't see him so he had to manifest himself

into the realm that we live in so we can acknowledge his presence now go to Romans 1:20 because

this is a verse of scripture that lays everything out about who God is and his creation Romans 1:20

says for since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities his eternal power and hit and

Vine nature have been clearly seen you see that in your Bibles for since the creation of

the world God's invisible qualities his eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen when you look

at creation you look at the sky look at the stars you look at the sun you

look at the Moon God's invisible qualities his eternal power his divine nature have been clearly seen nobody in their

right mind can look at creation and say that man had anything to do with this but

because they reject God and who he is they don't contribute these things his creation to

God because they don't acknowledge God they don't acknowledge his eternal power they don't acknowledge his divine

nature but the scripture says since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities his eternal power

and divine nature have been clearly seen and it goes on to say being understood

from what has been made all his Divine creation his workmanship the wonderful thing is that

he has made so that people those who fail to believe and trust in him are

without excuse see there's no excuse for not acknowledging God there's no excuse for thinking that God is a non

realistic concept he's just some human events in in someone's mind he's a more religious View he's in

personal he's not real the scripture says his power and his divine nature nature and his invisible qualities have

been clearly seen so those people who fail to believe and trust in him those people who reject him

those people who acknowledge Him all of that excuse meaning they're going to stand before the god that

they reject it on Judgment Day and they will be cast until the Lake of Fire

because they did not acknowledge Him while they were living they rejected him they said he didn't exist he's

a myth he's not real so when they stand before the god that they rejected they will stand

before him without excuse now the Bible says clearly that there's going to come a time where every knee will

bow and every tongue will confess confess that Jesus is Lord but at that time it's going to

be too late they did not acknowledge the invisible qualities of God they denied him as Creator

they acknowledged him as the one true God they did not him as the Living God and when they stand

before him they are without excuse so guys are natural revelation of himself has provided us his creation

with sufficient understanding and knowledge of who God is so we have no excuse he's giving us

his word he's giving us the Holy Spirit God has given us everything that we need to acknowledge Him as

God so those who reject him without excuse for their unbelief so no God does not merely

an idea our human concept he is the Eternal creator of all things and he desires

a personal intimate relationship with his children so we debunked another lied this morning the

next slide lie number nine and we've dealt with this before but I felt it's

worth dealing with again and the LIE is that God's truth is equal to man's truth going

back to those who reject God see that's what their mindset is they actually think

that their truth is equal to God's truth the creator of all things the one

true God the Living God they actually think that in their minds that's why they can't grasp the concept of

God because they have put God on their level see man's knowledge will never ever ever ever be equal

to God's knowledge but somewhere in there reprobate mind they have broke God's level knowledge

down to their level and made him equal to man they say that truth is subjective

and that God's truth is not the only truth but what does the Bible say again we always got to

come back to the word the truth is God's word is absolute truth God is not a man that

he should lie he says what he means and he means what he says God's

word is absolute truth and this truth is only found in his word not human opinion

not human philosophy or human worldview God's word is absolute truth John 17:17 your word is truth

and the truth of God's word stands as the ultimate standard memory talked about earlier about one standard for all

there's one truth for all is God's truth not man's truth what man is calling truth flip

flops over time it changes over the years the stains that we used to believe yesterday does not

true today because as we advance now understanding of things things change but we talked about

last week what we talked about God's word God's truth does not change before the creation

of the word God spoke his truth and his truth doesn't change second Timothy chapter 3 16

we talked about this scripture before all scripture from Genesis to Revelation is god-breathed inspired by God

through the spirit to man that's how we got it that's how we received it

so the thought that man's truth is equal to God's truth is a lie but they think it's true

and the scripture is clear as a man thinks so is he so these people who

think that God's truth is equal to their truth or their truth is above God's truth that

deceived a spirit of delusion has overcome them but they think that they're right Proverbs 14:12 we've

been here before there is a way that seems right to a man but this n

is death is in is death it seems right to the person who believe in

it but the reality of it is what they're thinking is not true so that

thought or idea or concept they have is going to end in death and we talk about

death we talk about physical death as well as Eternal separation from God Eternal death the

CV says it this way you may think you are on the right Road and still end up dead

oh see look that's why we got to make sure that our thoughts are lined up

with God stops that's why we got to make sure that our thoughts are in line with God's

word because you may think that you on the right Road and still end up dead eternally separated from

God and there's many people today they believe a certain thing and in their mind

is right but they just as wrong as two left shoes and too prideful to acknowledge their wrongness so like

we talked about earlier this morning they're not going to change the never going to change they're going

to keep thinking the way they've always been thinking and then going to get still get the results that

they always been getting they're always going to be doubting and questioning God and the

reason for that is because they don't know God they don't know the god of the

Bible their thoughts are not aligned with his thoughts so they think that they own the right

track but the track they're on is going to lead to death Matthew 24:35 Jesus said Heaven and Earth will

pass away but my words will never pass away the reality is man will pass away

I Journey here on this Earth is temporary man will pass away their wisdom and their

philosophical ideas will pass away but God's word remains forever it will never pass away God

is the source of all truth God is the source of all wisdom so God's truth is above

man's truth like I said earlier how can the creation think that their knowledge is greater than

the Creator say you got to be some kind of reprobate mind to think that way but yet that's

the world we live in today with all the bands wisdom with all of man's technical

advances their knowledge will never supersede the knowledge of God because God is the source of

all truth and wisdom so today we debunk three more lies God only love certain people

the truth is God is not a respecter of people he's not a respecter of culture he's not a respecter

of one ethnicity but his love extends to all who believes in him because he has one

standard for all the second myth we debunked today lie is that God is non realistic

concept he's a non realistic concept the truth is God Is Not idea or concept he is the Eternal creator

he's the one true God he is the Living God who desires a relationship with his

Creation with his children and the third line we debunked today is that God's truth is equal to man's

truth no it's not no it's not and they never will be truth is not found in human wisdom

but God is the source of all truth Isaiah 55:8 through 9 as we prepare to close this morning Isaiah

for as the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than

your ways and my thoughts then your thoughts man's truth man wisdom man's knowledge will never ever

ever be greater than gods God's truth his thoughts and his ways will always be greater than man's the truth

about God and who he is should free us and encourage us to keep depending and relying on him and

his word God is truth and his word is truth his word is the only source of Truth and God

has revealed his will his plans and his purposes in his word and his word is designed to yes

instruct us but is also designed to bless us and two draws closer to him

day by day as we seek him and all we do and because of this

we as the create tion can know and be assured about God who was to

create tour and what the Bible reveals about him we have that Assurance that's given to us in his word
