Congratulations you did it You're here you're on lesson five And this is really gonna pull everything into motion

for you Let's go ahead and get into it because today is all about on page Seo

we kind of started this a little bit in lesson number four when we talked about SEO

titles But there's a lot more to it than just the titles that you see on screen I

want you to know how to do this because I want you to be able to

go and pitch clients or be able to produce content for yourself that actually gets

results So let's go ahead and jump into this There's a lot to cover and

I wanna go over it in as small of an amount of time as possible because

I think optimizing and getting everything you know correct on your website within your Google Docs However it

is that you produce content I want it there I want it for you and I know you can

do this So let's jump in So we've gone through why you need seo you know how to

break the algorithm with search phrases you know how to master search intent you know

how to do titles for good on page Seo All of the remaining steps for on

page seo are how to help Google help you Because when you put the content out what Google does is

tries to share it with people that are going to find it the most relevant That means if you

write something and somebody else writes the exact same thing the way that you talk about it the way

that you teach it the way that you describe it is naturally going to attract some people

but not others Google is going to try its best to put your content in front of the people

that are going to like it So we do this with a couple of different steps

So all of this combined creates what's called as on page seo In this course I haven't

taught about off page seo it's a bit more difficult but basically it just means what is your business

doing to help people know that it exists every single day on page is all about what you do

directly on your website It's comprised of a couple of parts and we're gonna go through them now So

the first thing you need is to have a killer title We worked on that yesterday

I wanted to give you in lesson four enough time to think about these the titles

for your blog post Because if you fail to win a clip from the get go you

don't have the chance to inform people or educate them So it's a very important

part of your seo when you are talking about on page seo However there's also a meta

title a meta description headings and semantic keyword insertion Don't let that word semantic freak

you out I'm gonna explain exactly what it is It's a lot easier than what you're probably thinking and

a lot of people know how to do it and they just don't know that they

know how to do it So before I jump into what this is I want to go

ahead and show you that if you were to choose this keyword seo headings you can start to see

that it's not really a bad keyword to choose However this is just basic information So let's go

ahead and talk about your titles by section Whenever we have a blog post we

are going to write it and it's gonna be pretty long generally 1000 words or more is what

a good blog post consists of You need to really be producing content that's at least 1000 words less than

this This is considered thin content by Google standards That means it's probably not going to get a lot

of traction in a search engine And that is because there's not enough content for you to fully cover a

specific aspect of something So here's what I want you to do in the workbook

for today's lessons you are going to create the sections of your blog post If

you've already written your blog post you already have this separate these into natural breaks

And what I want you to do is write if you already have an existing blog post

what the existing section title is And then on the right where you see big idea I

want you to write in one sentence just a short concise summary of what that is about Once you've done

this you can then go back and you can insert all of your keywords naturally into these titles It's very

important that you're not putting your main keyword in each one of these section titles

because that would lead to keyword cannibalization which basically means you're stuffing it in wherever you can

to try to rank higher This is not gonna sound natural to people and this is actually gonna get

you penalized by Google Why do I say it's not gonna sound natural to people Because at its

core as we saw with search intent as we saw with planning content to create seo is all

about people What do people want What do they expect to see How do we give it to

them OK So break apart your blog post into different sections and look at the current title write the

big idea in one sentence and then we're gonna insert the keywords naturally So let me give you an

example of this If your keyword is seo headings The big idea could be for one paragraph or

one section of your blog post Seo keywords are important in subheadings You go through and you

outline why you need to have them and you talk about why they're important What you would

like to have here is a title that has the keyword inside of it However you

gotta be very careful with this because you don't wanna just stuff keywords here So a

good title for this section could be why you need seo headings in blog posts

So as you can see here it's very natural It flows just make sure that you

don't have a grammatical error such as I do here that should be blog posts instead of

blog post but it sounds natural It's nice and you can easily flow into why you need to

have these inside of you know a blog section So just keep this in mind

put the section title put the big idea later I'm gonna ask you to rewrite these

in the workbook But that is after we go through the lesson and you learn what semantic seo is

So let's go ahead and move to the second section Semantic seo is super important because not

everybody searches online in the same way you might be looking for SEO headings However I want you

to look here on this screenshot from SPI fu here is how I can get semantic keywords from

different uh you know seed keywords that I have This is actually a short tell keyword seo headings You could

write about this and your blog post could potentially rank for it But you need to

enrich the content as you move through with semantic keywords These are basically synonyms and

what I'm gonna do just for completing this lesson is I'm going to give you a bonus master class in

addition to this one an hour and a half where I walk somebody through step by step how to

set this up for their goals So you're gonna see the entire process from start to finish

with me using spy fu and I'm gonna give you that completely for free just for

coming to every one of these lessons and going through the workbooks and you know completing the actions every

single day because that makes you a rock star Not everybody does this but look here

at the similar keywords whenever somebody types in seo headings here are the other keywords that

pages that rank for this keyword also have they have seo head tags headings in seo

uh heading one for seo head terms Seo as you can see here I call them seed keywords

Somebody call somebody else calls them head terms Doesn't matter at the end of the day a head

term and a keyword seed are the exact same thing You just need to incorporate as many of

these synonyms as possible So before you go and write every one of these titles go use

a tool I recommend spy fu you could use Sim Rush you could use mas

keyword explorer whatever you choose make sure that you are incorporating all of these similar keywords

as naturally as possible into the content that you are creating Because that's how you're gonna start

to rank higher for the keyword that you have chosen whether it be long tail or

short tell keyword Once you have in all of your blog posts with all of these different keywords

put them into the titles put them into the actual content itself You know like the paragraphs let's say

you have a very polished very ready to go blog post right No not quite There are

a couple more steps you need to take because you're gonna put a title obviously

for the blog post on Wordpress or Squarespace or Wix whatever it is that you're doing and

that title is gonna be what people see on your website But Google actually uses something called a

meta title So meta titles help Google to categorize your content So it's gonna know

the keyword that you're trying to get categorized for It's gonna know what search intent you're going

for because you have chosen these blog posts specifically the keywords within them and written the content to match search

intent So you should choose something that tells Google your main keywords your site name

and your brand keywords So as you can see here with mine I like the dividers like this

You can also use a little dash Doesn't really matter what is important here though I have the seed

keyword that I'm going for I have the site name and then I also have my brand which is

the scale up Swarm It looks very nice And if you open up any web page on your computer

right now and look at the tab that is the meta title So we need to really

optimize this So people know exactly what they're looking at Important Keep this to 60 characters or less If

it's more than 60 characters not letters characters including spaces this is probably gonna get cut off

in the workbook I've actually given you a resource so you can check and see exactly how all of

this looks That way you can make sure everybody can see all of the information from your

content after the meta title You also have to create a meta description meta descriptions work with

your meta title and they help you to compel a click You should keep this to

not say two sentences I just think it looks very nice The first sentence you should give people a main

idea of what your post is about and the benefit to reading it So look

at mine here This is the simplest box to help you get found on Google This tells people immediately what

the benefit is Oh If I read this I'm gonna know how to structure a blog

post So people want to click on it The next sentence I have is a further benefit Master the art

of blog blog writing with my guide on creating content that engages and informs that is going to compel

people Hey read this Let's check it out Let's learn this together Make sure that the meta

title and make sure that the meta description also match Now this is actually a category page

for my website So it's leading people to the content strategy section on my blog post

That is why you're not seeing the entire title here However you can go to any blog post that

you want type in any keyword and you'll start to see a lot of information

appear for it You can then very clearly see what the title is because it's always in blue

or purple depending on if you clicked on it or not And beneath that where I have this little

arrow pointing to that's the meta description make sure this is 100 and 60 characters or less And in

the lesson workbook use the resources that I have shared with you to check and make sure yours is

compelling and it appears correctly in search engines That is pretty much how you complete on page

seo and one thing I I forgot to mention is in the meta description Make

sure you are including your main keyword You must have that there and you must

also have the main keyword in your meta title So make sure you have have the keywords there make

sure they are in the meta description and that's pretty much it by now You know

how to enrich your content choose synonyms People are looking for put them into your content how

to make compelling titles You also know how to create content that makes people want

to read it based on a meta title and meta description I want to congratulate

you for finishing this Not many people would So what are your tasks for today Complete

the workbooks Think as you're going through this do the metas that you crafted the

meta titles the meta descriptions do they compel you to take an action Would you
