Private Snafu: Outpost (1944)
Private Snafu is stationed on a remote island.
A mysterious, man-sized monster kills a fisherman at sea. A Biologist and a Federal Agent discover a man's body, washed up on the beach and covered with radiation burns.
Snafu annoys his fellow soldiers by listening to loud swing music and banging pots and pans in rhythm. The other soldiers at the barracks are busy studying maps, field manuals, and air recognition charts. Snafu dismisses their interest in studying, and claims he is not going to clunk the enemy over the head with books.
A couple who own and run a cheap motel have to put up with an assortment of weirdos who rent rooms there on a Friday night.
