Paul now goes before Felix. Annias, with his attorney Tertullus present their case against Paul to Felix. They presented a weak case, which Paul was pretty much able refute. However, Felix chose not to decide his case, placing him in jail, but with various freedoms in regard to visitations. Felix, along with Drusilla listened to Paul's message for several years before Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus.

Even after Stephen was murdered, the gospel was still being taught throughout the land. Peter, as well as others, were teaching and healing through the power of the Holy Spirit, and many Jews and Gentiles were taught and accepted the truth of the gospel. One of these converted was the most unlikelyist of Jews, Saul of Tarsus. Saul's life changed forever after being blinded by the light, much to the dismay of Jewish leadership who hatched a plan to make an example of him to other Jews that may be tempted to follow Saul's change of heart.

The Disciples heard complaints from Helenists that they were being overlooked in the receiving of food. Who were these Helenists? How was this complaint addressed? Then the Jewish leadership arrest Stephen for preaching Christ. He then gives his defense, which angered the leadership to the point they stoned him to death. And during this, the most famous Jewish leader was there who agreed with the stoning of Stephen, and aided in its accomplishment.
