Back-Room Boy (1942)
Jilted by his fiancee, Arthur Pilbeam gets a job as far away from women as possible. Alone in a lighthouse, he soon finds that 12 other people end up living on the tiny island. Thirteen is an unlucky number; and one-by-one they disappear.

A film projectionist longs to be a detective. He puts his meagre skills to work when he is framed by a rival for stealing his girlfriend’s father’s pocket watch.

Gus Arnheim and his band play the title song, sung by June Robbins (with Bouncing Ball).
