The Bigamist (1953)
San Francisco businessman Harry Graham and his wife and business partner, Eve, are in the process of adopting a child. When private investigator Mr. Jordan uncovers the fact that Graham has another wife, Phyllis, and a small child in Los Angeles, he confesses everything.

When a rash of burglaries in the neighborhood makes Lucy and Viv feel unsafe, they learn judo for self-protection. The tactic backfires when they teach it to their sons, who use it on one another.

Adapted from William Makepeace Thackeray’s book “Vanity Fair”, the film looks at the English class system during the Napoleonic Wars era.
