Welcome back and in this video I'll be showing you how to get images for your travel guides Actually not

just for travel guides but any book that you are publishing that will be needing images You see here

and where you get such images and the type of images you should be using

for your Kindle And direct publishing business Now if that is noted let's get into what we are

going to be doing for this video session First we are going to take a peek into

the different kinds the different types of images that we have available and the type you should be using for

your books and the reason why you should be using such images such type of images the that particular

image format for your books Then also we are also going to be taking a

look at whether you should be using images for that matter for your travel guides Should you just be using

plain text or should you be adding images for your travel guide Now let's actually

start with the first one The the different type of imaging image format I actually opened it

up here already Now we have PNG these are all the different kinds of images that you would come

across during your publishing journey or why doing anything why doing or as a digital nomads Now we have

the PNG You are going to be using PNG a lot This is a kind of image that has

a transparent background as portable network graphics It's a raster graphics file that supports those data

PNG was developed as uh an approved now with read up all those stories but the

main thing is that it's It comes when it comes to quality and and support for translucent background that's

transparent background That's why you see it is often used for images and logos We

are going to be using this a whole lot And also you are going to

be using the pain and the pain is um it's an acronym for Let's read it

me a lot of persons have gotten negative reviews just because they used images And also

a lot of persons have also gotten negative reviews because I didn't use images So

Using a black uh using images for a black and white travel guide or cookbook is a

total no no The image is not going to appear with no you are not they are not

even going to be seeing all those places that you use black and white images for

Images should be colored images should be colored and you should actually be using images for your

travel guide Now imagine if you were in a buyer's shoe and you got a travel guide that is all

tests from beginning to the end and it's a 300+ stage book without any single

image whatsoever And that is really really bad because travel guides the locations the attractions they

are supposed to come with images It makes it very very pleasant to read and doesn't get the

reader bored So images are actually very very important and should be a must for travel guides and that is

why we are not going to be doing color travel guides Now if you still

insist on doing black and white uh travel guides then you should be using vector images talking about

using illustrations That's what should be you should be using So should you use images for black and

white books I'm already taking care of that If you are using images for black and

white book let it be illustrations illustrations and not the real smart Images of those particular locations because they are

all going to turn black The reader is not even going to see those attractions see those

places see those locations Now there's something that I also see on some groups I belong to

and people are saying ah gets Let's get um a premium stock Let's get I

stock Let's get a premium pictures and photos and images and all that So Should we be

using free stock website or premier website The truth is that both are OK If you are

just starting off and you don't have the way with that you don't have the income as

at the moment just stick with free stock I hope the boatload of them a

boatload of them So we are going to be taking a look at this uh stock website that we

should be using and we are actually going to see how to actually put these images This Pictures these photos

into our travel guide You know we have already gotten our template Now we are going to see

how to add up all those images of the locations the type of images we should we

should be adding to particular um image placement that we already have in order to maintain

the image resolution and structure Now the very first sites we are going to check

out a free one And then let's go to Piels Piels.com I use this a lot And

then let me also open up that so I open up a template So this

is Piz.com Pizza.com is a free stock website They have images and they have videos and you

can use for free And as I said always add the attributions Accredit it It is very very

important because Amazon often asks for such So where is our Let's go to Brainia Academy then The copy of

our Is it here we open it up We already designed this in previous video and

let me just zoom it And then the first place we have a picture is this That's our

quotes Is this So what we are going to do the traveler sees what it

We we have medium large we have I'm going to go with medium then download So we

So how do you now add this particular image here It's just a matter of drag

to do now the table of content we have the book is on Paris travel guide right

So we just go on here and type in um Paris Paris Attraction architecture anyone would do And I

was still going to be looking for that kind of long image a kind of image And it

is OK Make sure that the image you are using is what Free stock Anyone you see

if you see something like this all these ones they are paid for have run away from all

this You see you get 20% off with 20% This is not these are not

free images So we have gotten out of the Eiffel Tower So what we do again we download

His medium And then that should be done So we go back one to CTTA

so we upload again And it's right here And this image We're going to drag and

drop here or just click on it and it's here then we can now We cannot drag it and

see it's inside and just leave it The moment you see it inside you know it has snapped in so

we just let it go So we have gotten it for the table of contents So we are just

that for pizzels For us we had videos and then we had photos majorly For Pizza Bay and from my

own experience from my own my my own opinion I've used all these free stock website for for

a good number of years for a very very long time now I will say

that pieces have a bootload of images A boatload of images and videos compared to Pizza Bay Pizza Bay have

more of illustrations vectors and gifts compared to Piezos Both are fantastic platforms They are fantastic choices I use

both of them They are really really good Now this is what I mean by

illustrations I'm very close And yes Yes This is exactly what I mean by illustr illustrations Peter

may have more of this and if you are designing covers or if you are doing black and

white for travels You are going to make I will advice you make use of

illustrations rather than Puts Because of everything turning black And then you know how to go about it

drag and drop rag and drop Now you can also be adding videos to your travel

guides Just click on video and you put in travel To Paris You can do it with Piels they

have a good number of videos So these travels to Paris And these are videos and

you can actually edit them on camera Like this you see the video is really really cool You just spice

up your book That's it for Isabe They are free stock website Then also we have uh Splash I

really really love uh Splash Splash have some very very unique uh photos and then it's also free to use

the app So we have good wallpapers 3D renders textures architecture and interiors Then we have travels

specifically we have works We have a we have illustrations then we have on Splash on

Splash Plus where you paid that a paid platform So you see there's a special a special unit a special

section button for travel Now you click on let's just check it out You can search for

any image actually This is for travel The travel page Now not in Paris with happy let's type it in

here Paris you are going to see some very unique pictures now It it's not just

the uh Eiffen Tower you see the pictures they have It's really really cool See this

They are really really great amazing pictures I've gotten some really really cool amazing pictures

from On Splash On Splash may not have as much photos as a pizza Bay pizzels but the ones they

have they are really really powerful They are really really good They are really really nice And as

I said avoid all these acts do not get anything Any image from here Now I've seen I've had some

coaches and preach some makes They say you can just go to Google or you can get any of

all these top pictures and you take it to And you remove you use some method You

just edit it and rework it or and then use It is very very dangerous Amazon doesn't joke with image

copyright It will get your account terminated not just getting your book blocked Then some say

you just take the picture and you take it to AI and tell the AI to generate similar uh

more particular image for you to To use I don't really advise that Why not just go for

the one that is free Because telling AI to give you the exact picture of someone else's book or someone

else's photo that they are selling it's not really really ethical And I think Amazon is really

going to front a doubt Please So just get there there are varieties you can use

please You just get the one that is free for you to use or just buy it Pay for it

please for goodness' sake and you are good to go So that is this some of the sites The last

one this one is a very very unique site You can practically get Any kind of images you

want from Wikicommerce and all the pictures here are public domain images public domain pictures and we are going to

do a lot on this Wikicomms If you are using Wikimedia commerce you can get access to any

kind of pictures you are going to need This is like the Wikipedia Of images Very very vast images here

Uh the massive collection of images I use Wikimedia each and every time So I don't just want to talk

much about this now but if you type in let's just type in Paris here So you see images

ancient images new one you can get a boatload of images relating to Paris different structures different design

and Paris of old of and now and we are going to be getting our most

of our images for travel guides a whole lot of our resources for travel guides from this

particular platform even videos You can get videos from here You can get videos you get

the videos you can get the audio and of course other media So we are

going to be coming back here I'm talking about PDF We are going to be

as resources So we are going to be coming back to this particular website I believe we are
