Hello and welcome to the Believer's Bible Assembly This is the day that the Lord has made and we're going

to rejoice and be glad in it Open your Bibles to Isaiah chapter 55 verse 11 and it

reads as follows So my word that proceeds from my mouth will not return to me empty but it will

accomplish what I please and it will prosper where I sit it We've been talking about the word

and how we must depend and rely on the word and have faith in what it

says We live in a world where promises are often broken People promise things that

they can never ever fulfill But there is one voice that never fails and that's

the voice of God In Isaiah 55 the prophet declared that God's word will never return back to

him empty void useless without results It will never fail to achieve its intended purposes and

it will never ever fail to achieve its intended results When God speaks things happen His word always accomplishes

his purposes This truth about who God is should give us confidence and hope and faith because every promise in

scripture is backed by God Himself So today we're going to talk about the word never fails I'm

going to lay out for you 4 powerful truths that's going to help you in your

faith walk with God First and foremost we need to understand that God's word is

reliable You see the reason we can trust God's word is because we can trust God's character who God is

God is not like people Let's go ahead and establish that Humans fail they forget they

change their mind they lie But God is faithful to His word Numbers 23:19 says God is not a

man that he should lie nor a son of man that he should repent Has he said and

will he not do it That's the question If God said it he will certainly do it because God is

faithful He's been faithful from beginning to the end from Genesis to Revelation Not one

word has failed so we can rely on what he says If he said it

he will do it Now look at Titus chapter 1 verse 2 Titus said this God who cannot

lie promised before the world began These promises of God are eternal They're everlasting They're

unbreakable And because of that Hebrews 10:23 says we can hold fast to our confession

of faith to our confession of hope without wavering Here it is for he who

promised is faithful God's word is reliable because God is faithful and he's faithful because his word carries his authority

And the word establishes his unchanging character He's the same yesterday today and forever His word is the same

yesterday today and forever God's word is unchangeable God's word is unbreakable So if God said it it's true it

will happen and it cannot fail Remember this is the same God who spoke the universe

into existence This is the same God who makes promises in his word about our lives So

that's the first thing we need to know and understand that God's word is reliable

because God is faithful The second thing we need to know and understand is that God watches

over His word to fulfill it Listen God doesn't just speak promises and then forget about them He is

actively watching over his word to fulfill it Jeremiah chapter 1 verse 12 I am watching over my

word to perform it He's watching over his word to perform it So we don't

have to worry about God and His word coming to pass because he's watching over his word

to perform it Now what you and I need to know and understand is that his word

is going to be fulfilled His word is going to come to pass in his timing That's where the

faith and the trust comes in in what God said Because he's watching over his work He's going to see

to it that his word comes to pass In Matthew 24:35 it says this Heaven and

earth will pass away but my words what God said will never pass away because

he's watching over His word to perform it Part of the Holy Spirit's job is to oversee

and to superintend the word God is watching over his word to fulfill it Isaiah chapter 40

verse 8 says this The grass withers and the flowers fade but the word of our God stands

forever In Matthew it talks about the heavens and the earth and now in Isaiah it's talking

about the grass and the flowers will fade away But God's word will stand forever

meaning God is even concerned with the minute portion of his word Not just the big things but the

small things Every jot every tittle of His word will come to pass because God

is personally assuring that his word comes to pass That's why we can trust and

rely on the word It's not man Man has nothing to do with this Man

has absolutely nothing to do with this This is God's word He's watching over his word to

perform it God has placed his word above his very own name and God's word is greater than

any circumstance God's word is greater than any situation or problem that may arise It might appear that

the circumstance is impossible but God says his word will still prosper where he sends it That's why you

got to make sure it's God's word because it's God's word that he's watching over it's God's word

that's going to overcome whatever circumstances are in your life Just like he did with Abraham and Sarah in the

Old Testament He promised them a son Even though both was old and Sarah was barren Now from a

human perspective the promise that God made seemed impossible Yet the Bible says in Romans 4:21 that Abraham being

fully convinced fully persuaded that what God had promised he was also able to perform God fulfilled that promise to

Abraham and blessed him with his son Isaac When God speaks time circumstances nothing can counsel what God

sent Nothing no circumstance or situation can stop or change what he has said because God is watching over

his word to fulfill it But we have to trust that it's going to happen in his timing Number

through faith Yes God's word is powerful Yes God's word is true Yes God is watching over His word to

perform it but without faith His promises in our life will never come to pass So what faith does faith

positions us to receive what God has promised That's why you got to make sure your faith is

in what God said not what you heard somebody else say That's why we got to get

in the word and that's why we've got to stay in the word so we can understand and be

able to discern the voice of God from the voice of man from what God said

from what man said that God said Hebrews chapter 11 verse 6 says this Without faith it

is impossible to please God You can't please God without faith And if you don't have

faith you will not receive the promise of God because all of God's promises are activated

through faith Look at Mark chapter 9 verse 23 It says if you can believe all

things are possible to him who believes Look at the first word in that verse

if The word if is a conditional word meaning you have the option to believe or you have the option

not to believe But Mark 9:23 says if you can believe all things are possible to

him who believes The impossible is made possible to him who believes And how does

faith come We talked about it Romans 10:17 faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God

What are you hearing There's so many things out here in the world today that are distractions They're set up

by design to get you focused on the things in this world the things in this life and

to distract you from putting your faith and trust in what God said So now your faith is shaky

your faith is weak because you're listening to more of what the world is saying what the news is

saying than what God is saying But the scripture says that faith comes by hearing And hearing

by the word of God So that's what we should be hearing on a daily basis We should be hearing

more of God's word We should be hearing more about God's promises than the things

that are going on in the world We should be hearing more about God's word and what he said he

would do instead of your focus being on your problems your situation and your circumstances God's

word is greater than all of those There's no problem situation or circumstance that is greater

than God's word So we should be hearing things that's going to activate our faith that's going to ground our

faith in the word Faith is what gives us confidence In what God has already said

Faith is what gives us confidence in God's promises Faith said if God promised it I believe

it If God spoke it I trust it And if God declare it it will happen It's

just a matter of when God's promises are activated through faith and God's word contains the

power to accomplish whatever he sent it forth to do but his promises are activated through our

faith And the last thing I want to share with you today is that all

of God's promises are fulfilled in Christ The ultimate proof of God's faithfulness is Jesus Christ God sent His

only Son into the world That was the fulfillment of a promise that was made way back in Genesis It

was made throughout the Old Testament Jesus came in the flesh in the Gospels He's

seated at the right hand of the Father right now Everything that God said about

his son and what his son was sent to do has been fulfilled The ultimate proof of

God's faithfulness is Jesus Christ 2 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 20 says this For all of

the promises of God in him are yes and in him amen All of the promises Everything God says he

would do he has done and He sent His Son Jesus to come into the

earth to save us John 1:14 the word Jesus Christ became flesh and dwelt among us That's a fulfillment

of his promise Jesus said in John 3:16 that God sent His Son that whoever believes in Him should not

perish but have everlasting life That's a promise that God made through what His Son would accomplish on the cross

And because Jesus went to the cross he died and was resurrected on the 3rd day The promise of

everlasting life was fulfilled Jesus is the living fulfillment of God's word Every prophecy about Jesus Christ the Messiah

was fulfilled through Him His birth was prophesized it was fulfilled What he would do in his ministry was prophesized

it was fulfilled His death on the cross was prophesized It was fulfilled And his resurrection

that was prophesized was fulfilled So our salvation is the fulfillment the proof of God's promise Romans

chapter 10 verse 13 says Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved

That's the promise that God made in His word Whosoever anyone who calls on the name

of the Lord will be saved God has proven His faithfulness by sending us Jesus Christ

who saved us and gave us eternal life Let me leave you with this God

declares in Isaiah 55:11 that His word will never return back to Him empty void useless without result

This means that every promise God has spoken is reliable Every word God has declared will come to

pass Every word every promise to those who trust in Him will prosper Circumstances may change

People may fail you but God's word will never fail Therefore we can stand on his promises with confidence knowing

that if God said it he will do it He will bring it to pass God's

promises may not always come when we expect But they always come exactly when God intends

it to come in His timing Whenever God speaks whether through a promise or through correction or

through His guidance His purposes will always advance and there is absolutely nothing that can stop or

hinder the outcome Absolutely nothing Therefore we can stand on his word we can trust

in his promises and continue to walk by faith because God's word will never return back to him empty Amen
