Hello and welcome to the Believer's Bible Assembly This is the day that the Lord has made and we're goingto rejoice and be glad in it Open your Bibles to Isaiah chapter 55 verse 11 and itreads as follows So my word that proceeds from my mouth will not return to me empty but it willaccomplish what I please and it will prosper where I sit it We've been talking about the wordand how we must depend and rely on the word and have faith in what itsays We live in a world where promises are often broken People promise things thatthey can never ever fulfill But there is one voice that never fails and that'sthe voice of God In Isaiah 55 the prophet declared that God's word will never return back tohim empty void useless without results It will never fail to achieve its intended purposes andit will never ever fail to achieve its intended results When God speaks things happen His word always accomplisheshis purposes This truth about who God is should give us confidence and hope and faith because every promise inscripture is backed by God Himself So today we're going to talk about the word never fails I'mgoing to lay out for you 4 powerful truths that's going to help you in yourfaith walk with God First and foremost we need to understand that God's word isreliable You see the reason we can trust God's word is because we can trust God's character who God isGod is not like people Let's go ahead and establish that Humans fail they forget theychange their mind they lie But God is faithful to His word Numbers 23:19 says God is not aman that he should lie nor a son of man that he should repent Has he said andwill he not do it That's the question If God said it he will certainly do it because God isfaithful He's been faithful from beginning to the end from Genesis to Revelation Not oneword has failed so we can rely on what he says If he said ithe will do it Now look at Titus chapter 1 verse 2 Titus said this God who cannotlie promised before the world began These promises of God are eternal They're everlasting They'reunbreakable And because of that Hebrews 10:23 says we can hold fast to our confessionof faith to our confession of hope without wavering Here it is for he whopromised is faithful God's word is reliable because God is faithful and he's faithful because his word carries his authorityAnd the word establishes his unchanging character He's the same yesterday today and forever His word is the sameyesterday today and forever God's word is unchangeable God's word is unbreakable So if God said it it's true itwill happen and it cannot fail Remember this is the same God who spoke the universeinto existence This is the same God who makes promises in his word about our lives Sothat's the first thing we need to know and understand that God's word is reliablebecause God is faithful The second thing we need to know and understand is that God watchesover His word to fulfill it Listen God doesn't just speak promises and then forget about them He isactively watching over his word to fulfill it Jeremiah chapter 1 verse 12 I am watching over myword to perform it He's watching over his word to perform it So we don'thave to worry about God and His word coming to pass because he's watching over his wordto perform it Now what you and I need to know and understand is that his wordis going to be fulfilled His word is going to come to pass in his timing That's where thefaith and the trust comes in in what God said Because he's watching over his work He's going to seeto it that his word comes to pass In Matthew 24:35 it says this Heaven andearth will pass away but my words what God said will never pass away becausehe's watching over His word to perform it Part of the Holy Spirit's job is to overseeand to superintend the word God is watching over his word to fulfill it Isaiah chapter 40verse 8 says this The grass withers and the flowers fade but the word of our God standsforever In Matthew it talks about the heavens and the earth and now in Isaiah it's talkingabout the grass and the flowers will fade away But God's word will stand forevermeaning God is even concerned with the minute portion of his word Not just the big things but thesmall things Every jot every tittle of His word will come to pass because Godis personally assuring that his word comes to pass That's why we can trust andrely on the word It's not man Man has nothing to do with this Manhas absolutely nothing to do with this This is God's word He's watching over his word toperform it God has placed his word above his very own name and God's word is greater thanany circumstance God's word is greater than any situation or problem that may arise It might appear thatthe circumstance is impossible but God says his word will still prosper where he sends it That's why yougot to make sure it's God's word because it's God's word that he's watching over it's God's wordthat's going to overcome whatever circumstances are in your life Just like he did with Abraham and Sarah in theOld Testament He promised them a son Even though both was old and Sarah was barren Now from ahuman perspective the promise that God made seemed impossible Yet the Bible says in Romans 4:21 that Abraham beingfully convinced fully persuaded that what God had promised he was also able to perform God fulfilled that promise toAbraham and blessed him with his son Isaac When God speaks time circumstances nothing can counsel what Godsent Nothing no circumstance or situation can stop or change what he has said because God is watching overhis word to fulfill it But we have to trust that it's going to happen in his timing Numberthrough faith Yes God's word is powerful Yes God's word is true Yes God is watching over His word toperform it but without faith His promises in our life will never come to pass So what faith does faithpositions us to receive what God has promised That's why you got to make sure your faith isin what God said not what you heard somebody else say That's why we got to getin the word and that's why we've got to stay in the word so we can understand and beable to discern the voice of God from the voice of man from what God saidfrom what man said that God said Hebrews chapter 11 verse 6 says this Without faith itis impossible to please God You can't please God without faith And if you don't havefaith you will not receive the promise of God because all of God's promises are activatedthrough faith Look at Mark chapter 9 verse 23 It says if you can believe allthings are possible to him who believes Look at the first word in that verseif The word if is a conditional word meaning you have the option to believe or you have the optionnot to believe But Mark 9:23 says if you can believe all things are possible tohim who believes The impossible is made possible to him who believes And how doesfaith come We talked about it Romans 10:17 faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of GodWhat are you hearing There's so many things out here in the world today that are distractions They're set upby design to get you focused on the things in this world the things in this life andto distract you from putting your faith and trust in what God said So now your faith is shakyyour faith is weak because you're listening to more of what the world is saying what the news issaying than what God is saying But the scripture says that faith comes by hearing And hearingby the word of God So that's what we should be hearing on a daily basis We should be hearingmore of God's word We should be hearing more about God's promises than the thingsthat are going on in the world We should be hearing more about God's word and what he said hewould do instead of your focus being on your problems your situation and your circumstances God'sword is greater than all of those There's no problem situation or circumstance that is greaterthan God's word So we should be hearing things that's going to activate our faith that's going to ground ourfaith in the word Faith is what gives us confidence In what God has already saidFaith is what gives us confidence in God's promises Faith said if God promised it I believeit If God spoke it I trust it And if God declare it it will happen It'sjust a matter of when God's promises are activated through faith and God's word contains thepower to accomplish whatever he sent it forth to do but his promises are activated through ourfaith And the last thing I want to share with you today is that allof God's promises are fulfilled in Christ The ultimate proof of God's faithfulness is Jesus Christ God sent Hisonly Son into the world That was the fulfillment of a promise that was made way back in Genesis Itwas made throughout the Old Testament Jesus came in the flesh in the Gospels He'sseated at the right hand of the Father right now Everything that God said abouthis son and what his son was sent to do has been fulfilled The ultimate proof ofGod's faithfulness is Jesus Christ 2 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 20 says this For all ofthe promises of God in him are yes and in him amen All of the promises Everything God says hewould do he has done and He sent His Son Jesus to come into theearth to save us John 1:14 the word Jesus Christ became flesh and dwelt among us That's a fulfillmentof his promise Jesus said in John 3:16 that God sent His Son that whoever believes in Him should notperish but have everlasting life That's a promise that God made through what His Son would accomplish on the crossAnd because Jesus went to the cross he died and was resurrected on the 3rd day The promise ofeverlasting life was fulfilled Jesus is the living fulfillment of God's word Every prophecy about Jesus Christ the Messiahwas fulfilled through Him His birth was prophesized it was fulfilled What he would do in his ministry was prophesizedit was fulfilled His death on the cross was prophesized It was fulfilled And his resurrectionthat was prophesized was fulfilled So our salvation is the fulfillment the proof of God's promise Romanschapter 10 verse 13 says Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be savedThat's the promise that God made in His word Whosoever anyone who calls on the nameof the Lord will be saved God has proven His faithfulness by sending us Jesus Christwho saved us and gave us eternal life Let me leave you with this Goddeclares in Isaiah 55:11 that His word will never return back to Him empty void useless without resultThis means that every promise God has spoken is reliable Every word God has declared will come topass Every word every promise to those who trust in Him will prosper Circumstances may changePeople may fail you but God's word will never fail Therefore we can stand on his promises with confidence knowingthat if God said it he will do it He will bring it to pass God'spromises may not always come when we expect But they always come exactly when God intendsit to come in His timing Whenever God speaks whether through a promise or through correction orthrough His guidance His purposes will always advance and there is absolutely nothing that can stop orhinder the outcome Absolutely nothing Therefore we can stand on his word we can trustin his promises and continue to walk by faith because God's word will never return back to him empty Amen
