Morgan (Frank Shannon) pays off Randy (Smith Ballew) and Barry (Stanley Fields) with a promissory note to be collected at the Blake ranch. They arrive to find Mrs. Blake (Ruth Robinson) sick and without any money, her back taxes due, her ranch hands departed, and her son in need of an operation. With Randy attracted to Janet (Cecilia Parker) and Barry hoping to help Danny (Wally Albright), the two decide to stay.

In Siberia, an archeological expedition searching for prehistoric fossils discover a large prehistoric monster, perfectly preserved in a state of suspended animation in the ice. It's as lifelike as it was millions of years ago when it roamed the earth in the Mesozoic age. The tireless workers of the expedition eventually find a way to remove the large monster from the ice, and they load him onto a special Refrigeration freighter, and transport him to North America, to the city of Metropolis, USA. Here, Alfred R. Ley donated this monster to be displayed at the Museum of Natural Science, where it is being held in a special refrigeration device.

Poor Major Minor is disgraced and kicked out of the Adventurer's Club because he has never captured Snagglepuss. The Major decides to use Snag's passion for acting against him, and he mounts a road show, which fools the mountain lion. Successful at last, the Major drives his captive directly to the Adventurer's Club stage, but Snagglepuss outwits him when he asks permission to do a farewell performance.
