Welcome to the Believers Bible Assembly This is the day that the Lord has made

and we're gonna rejoice and be glad in it Today we're going to continue talking about

spiritual renewal Last week I shared that spiritual renewal begins with the renewing of the mind We looked at

Romans chapter 12 verse 2 and it says do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by

the renewing of your mind Today we're going to talk about how the scriptures the

word of God renews and transforms our mind by the truth of God's word because

that's where it starts with the word of God God's revealed truth about Himself That's where it

begins Seeing the world through the lenses of scripture seeing the world through the lenses

of God's truth Everybody claims to have a truth but there's only one truth and that's God's truth And as

believers we have to see the world through the lenses of the word And when

we do that our minds and our spirits will be renewed based on the truth of

the word of God So that's what we're going to talk about today spiritual renewal by

the word of God the word of truth Now the first thing I want to share

with you today is that all scripture all scripture is given by God Let's take

a look at it 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 16 and 17 It says all Scripture is God-breathed and

is useful for instruction for conviction for correction for training in righteousness so that the man of

God may be complete fully equipped for every good work All Scripture from Genesis to Revelation is

God breathed given by inspiration of God breathed out by God All Scripture And all scripture that

is breathed out given by God is useful It's profitable So that's the first point I want you

to understand this morning The word of God is God breathed breathed out by God

and it is useful It is profitable It has a benefit for you and for me The

Bible is not just some ordinary random book that somebody wrote and put together as some teach The

words that we have in the Bible came from God the Creator of the heavens and the earth and he

has given us His word to be useful and profitable Useful and profitable for what For

instruction right teaching right doctrine the truth That's why he's given us His word so we

can have right teaching right doctrine the truth and like I said there is only one

truth and God has revealed what that truth is to us in His word So it's useful it's

profitable for instruction right teaching and doctrine It's useful and profitable for conviction Now we don't like that word but

we need to understand that word Because conviction comes from the scriptures that come from

God that's useful and profitable Conviction is useful and profitable for us if we receive it the way we should

receive it because what conviction is going to do is going to lead us to repentance and from

repentance to transformation That's what conviction does Conviction tells you what you are doing wrong Stop Don't do that That's

wrong That's not in accordance with God's word What you're doing is contrary to what God's will plans and

purposes are for your life Stop it and that's going to lead to repentance Lord I'm sorry Forgive

me for straying from your word Once you truly repent not just words coming out

of your mouth that will now lead to transformation because you're going to get back on the right track

And the next thing that the word is useful and profitable for is correction So you've been convicted

Now you need to be on the right path And so that's what correction does It guides believers back

onto the right path the path that you should have been on from the beginning but we

strayed because we wanted to lean toward our own understanding and not seek the wisdom of God So the word

convicted you it led to repentance it led to transformation Now the word is going to

guide you back onto the right path All scriptures God breathed and is useful and

profitable So these things I'm talking to you about this morning are a profit that comes from understanding

the scriptures understanding the word Another thing that's useful and profitable is for training in

righteousness equipping believers to live lives that reflects God's character That develop a life of holiness

and godliness That's what training and righteousness means The word of God is not designed to

make you perfect The word of God is designed to build God's character in you for you to

become more Christ-like to develop in you a life of holiness and godliness so that you will know right

from wrong truth from error So you won't be thinking in ways that are contrary to God's word Your

actions now will be lined up with the word of God not with your feelings

and your emotions The word of God is useful it's profitable for instruction right teaching doctrine conviction That leads to

repentance and transformation for correction leading believers back on the right path for training in righteousness equipping us to live

lives that reflect God's character holiness and godliness And here's the reason why verse 17 so that the

man of God the believer may be complete God's word is designed to make you complete

We have a hole in us that needs to be filled with God and God's word We've been trying to

fill that hole with everything under the sun We've been trying to fill that hole

with material things We're trying to fill that hole with worldly things We're trying to fill

that hole with drugs alcohol We're trying to fill that hole with sex but the only thing

that can complete us and make us whole is the word of God The purpose of the word the God-breathed

word is so that the man of God may be complete spiritually mature and whole

in every area of life That's the design that's the purpose It's not till we

understand the word and the truth of God's word that this could happen That's how the word

is going to renew us because it's going to shape us into the image of God It's going to complete

us It's going to make us whole fully equipped for every good work We have work to do and the

Bible teaches us how to do these things It teaches us what we need to

do how we need to do it when we need to do it to equip us for

every good work In the scriptures God has given us everything we need for spiritual growth and effective

ministry If you want to know how to grow in Christ it's in the word

If you want to know how to have effective ministry it's in the Word Everything we need is found in

the Word All scripture comes from God and the scriptures carry his authority and that makes

the scriptures effective and able to shape our character and our conduct and our way of life because

it has the authority of God meaning God's word is not going to return back to him void meaning

God says what he means and he means what he says So we can trust God's word God's

word is dependable God's word is reliable If God said it it's going to happen The scriptures

carry the authority of God and when we receive it and believe it and act upon it now it

begins to transform us It begins to shape our character and our conduct The scriptures

instructs they correct they challenge and they train us so that we can grow into spiritual

maturity and it equips us for every good work The scriptures provides us with everything that we need

for successful living in life that reflects God's purposes and God's intents The second thing I want

to talk about is that God speaks to us through the scripture God speaks to us through His word

That's how God communicates with us The Holy Spirit his role is to enable us to

hear the voice of the Lord His Spirit speaking to our spirit When you get into His

word and let His word get into you the Holy Spirit now will illuminate God's

truth to you spirit to spirit God speaks to us through His word and he's been speaking to us

through His word from the beginning Let's go to Hebrews chapter 1 verses 1 and 2

and it says on many occasions and in many different ways God spoke to our fathers through the

prophets but in these last days he's spoken to us by His Son whom he has appointed heir of all

things and through whom he has made the universe Let's break this down this morning It says on many

past occasions so what we see here is God's consistency in his communication with mankind his creation

through history God's revelation is not a one-time event but has occurred over and over again in time God

has interacted with his people in many different ways at various points in time throughout the ages This is

called progressive revelation meaning God did not give everything to one person at one time God spoke to different people

at different points in time throughout the ages It says that God spoke to our fathers He's talking about the

patriarchs of Israel talking about Abraham he's talking about Moses God spoke to them to speak to

the Jewish people and they revealed God's covenant promises and his law to Israel That's the part that

God revealed to Abraham and Moses We see God speaking to Abraham and to Moses He also continued to

speak through the prophets Prophets in the Old Testament were chosen messengers of God Their

role was to go between God and His people They were intermediaries God spoke to the prophets the prophets spoke

to the people What they spoke was designed to guide to warn to encourage Israel about events that were

about to happen Their role was to speak about the coming of the Messiah that was fulfilled in

Jesus Christ and their message was divine and their message was authoritative because it came

from God So a true prophet is only going to speak what God wants spoken and their prophecies were fulfilled

But the scripture says but in these last days we see here a shift from

the previous ways God communicated with humanity to how he communicates to humanity in these last days And ladies and

gentlemen we are in the last days Now in the Bible when you see the phrase

last days it's referring to the time of Christ's first coming and the beginning of the end times

So you and I right now we're living in the end times The scripture says in the last

days that God's speaking now to us through His Son Jesus Christ Jesus Christ is God's ultimate revelation and fulfillment

of His word Jesus Christ is the final word and His word is superior to all the

other prophets in the past His word is superior to Abraham and Moses Jesus Christ is the last word

He's the ultimate revelation of God Jesus Christ he was the word made flesh That's

the 3rd thing I want to talk to you about this morning John chapter 1 verse 1 says

that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word

was God and this word that was with God from the beginning was made flesh John 1:14 and the Word

became flesh fulfilling the prophecies of the Old Testament The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us

This was his intimate involvement with his creation We have seen his glory He was witnessed

by his disciples They saw his miracles they heard his teachings and they saw his ultimate resurrection The Word became

flesh and made His dwelling among us and we've seen His glory the glory of the one

and only Son from the Father meaning He's one with the Father full of grace and truth Grace refers

to the unmerited favor and love of God and the truth represents His faithfulness and His reliability of what he

said The scripture says all things was made through Him Everything that was made was made through the Son Jesus

Christ was the word made flesh He is the word Oftentimes people just think about Jesus in

the Gospels Matthew Mark Luke John but Jesus Christ was the word from the beginning and he'll

be the word at the end He's the eternal Word Fourth thing I want to share with

you is that he is the last prophetic voice He is the final complete and ultimate

revelation of God to humanity He is the last prophetic voice All previous prophets all

they did was prepare the way for him After Jesus Christ no new prophet is

needed to deliver God's word God is not giving new prophecies God is not giving new

revelation God is not giving a new word today Everything that God wanted said has been said by

and through Jesus Christ I want y'all to get this this morning because every day every hour it seems

like there's a new prophet popping up with a new word with a new revelation with a new dream

and a vision These are false prophets that Jesus and the other apostles wrote that will come in

the last days Jesus is the last prophetic voice He said everything that God wanted him

to say There's nothing else to be said Now if there is a prophet a true prophet of God that

prophet is going to say what has already been said They're going to speak what

has already been spoken They're going to reveal what has already been revealed the past tense A true prophet

of God is not giving any new revelation or new word today because they understand that

Jesus Christ was the last prophetic voice He is the final complete and ultimate revelation of God to the

world Jesus Christ said everything that God wanted him to say So if that prophet doesn't say

what the word of God says he's a liar If that's prophet making up some

new revelation he's a liar The Bible says let God be true and every man a liar I'm teaching you

all this to protect you and to tell you where your focus should be Your

focus should be on the revealed word of God what he has already revealed what he has already said He's

given us 66 books of the Bible for us to write the divide so we can

understand His truth God's truth is unchangeable He doesn't change He's the same yesterday today and forevermore The Holy Spirit

gives us illumination He gives us new insights When you first heard this scripture you was at this

level of spiritual maturity Now over a period of time you've grown in your walk with the Lord Now you

read that same scripture again you have another level of understanding now that you didn't have

before That's different than coming up with some new thing And listen Satan's behind all this And he

uses his voices to deceive and mislead A false prophet is anybody that speaks contrary

to the word regardless if they have the title of prophet or not Every false prophet doesn't

have a title of prophet A false prophet according to the scriptures is anyone that speaks contrary to

the word of God And how do we know what's true and how do we know what's

false We go to the word We read understand and study the last prophetic voice Jesus Christ

We understand what he did for us through His death his burial and his resurrection These are

the foundational things that we need to know and understand so that when we hear

a false prophet regardless if they have the title or not We can automatically disqualify everything they

said everything that come out of their mouth because we know that it did not line up with no

parts of the scripture But if you don't have that level of understanding you will be misled You will

be deceived Jesus said it Paul wrote about it In the last days many are going

to be deceived and this is how they're going to do it through a lack of the knowledge of the

word Hosea wrote way back in his day My people are destroyed for a lack of

knowledge And it wasn't that knowledge wasn't available They just refused to receive it They just refused to adhere to

it They listened to other voices instead of listening to the voice of God And Jesus said My sheep

hear my voice and the voice of another they will not follow So whose voice are

you listening to Whose voice are you allowing in your ear gate into your mind to influence your thoughts

to influence your actions and your behaviors Whose voice are you listening to We need to listen to the

voice of Jesus Christ that's found in the revealed word of God because he's the last prophetic voice Anything

that God wants to communicate to you he's going to communicate to you through His Spirit through His word

and that's going to give us spiritual insight wisdom knowledge and understanding and discernment meaning you can

look at a thing you can hear a thing and you automatically know it's not

of God because it's not based on His word You won't walk around here oh

well maybe it is maybe not I don't know that could be true Satan wants

you in a state of confusion but God is not the author of confusion That's how you know that

you're off that something right because you're confused God does not want you in a confused state That's why

he gave us the word Lord God reveal to me through your word what I need to know God will

do it James says if anyone lacks wisdom we should do what Ask of God and God gonna

hold it back No he's gonna give it to us and he's gonna give it to us how liberally

We have to seek out the truth that comes from the word of God so we won't

be misled by these false prophets in the last days We're in the last days Everything that's going on in

the world today is to get you off the word get your mind distracted get your mind focused on something

that you should be focused on that don't even pertain to you get you caught up in some political

drama that has no impact on you at all God is greater than politics God is greater than anything

that's going on in the world right now So what you and I have to do in

order to keep our peace and keep our joy in 2026 we have to keep

our minds stayed on the word of God that's going to put everything into its proper perspective And when everything's

in proper perspective we can have joy in the midst of chaos We can have peace in the

midst of all the insanity that's going on in the world Like the scripture says we will only behold

it with our eyes but it will never come near us because we're in a safe

place and that safe place is in God in His word Jesus is the last

prophetic voice He was not just a messenger as some people claim he is He

is the message The prophets they delivered the words from God Jesus is the word of God made flesh Jesus

embodied the full message of God in human form Jesus did not just teach the truth He is

the truth John 14:6 Jesus said I am the way I am the truth He's the

real and absolute truth And he came to reveal God to mankind John 1:18 No

one has ever seen God but the only one and only Son who is at the Father's side

has made him known Jesus fulfilled all of the Old Testament prophecies He testified that he is

the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies Luke chapter 24 verse 44 speaking to his

disciples Jesus said These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you

all of his teachings that he had taught while he was here on the earth Everything must

be fulfilled that was written about me in the law of Moses the prophets and the Psalms So

what he's saying to his disciples everything that was written in the law everything that was written in the

prophets everything that was written in the Psalms was written about me The word of God the scriptures renews

and transforms our minds when we understand that all Scripture is inspired breathed out by

God The scripture renews and transforms our mind when we understand that God revealed Himself through the spoken word

through the prophecies of the Old Testament prophets And the scripture the word of God renews

and transforms our minds when we understand that Jesus Christ is the final revelation of God to mankind that Jesus

Christ is the living word His words are alive and full of power that Jesus Christ is the

last prophetic voice completing the fulfillment of the scriptures All of the scriptures in the law

all of the scriptures in the prophets all of the scriptures in the Psalms were fulfilled

in him And when we truly embrace this truth we will be on our way to spiritual renewal and

that's where God wants us to be Amen
